“Zero Gravity” produced by Pip Norman was Australia’s entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 after it won the jury and public vote on Eurovision: Australia Decides. As quoted by Pip, “I never thought I’d have a piece of my work on Eurovision, but lo and behold Kate asked me to do this song and now she’s smashing it into the finals. It’s rare that I am moved by a piece of music that I’ve labored on – the process desensitizes me to the experience -but seeing Kate flying around the earth and shattering the atmosphere … Goosebumps.”
Pip got to help out this bunch of legends on their recent release “Dumb”. As quoted by vocalist Phoebe Baker the sing “Dumb” is ” about how we can encourage our romantic imagination to a point of ignorance. Hopeless optimism on a ship of sinking love. There is a somewhat perverse enjoyment found when flirting with someone when ultimately you know it’s going to hurt. There are elements of play to be found within the slow dissolve of a relationship. Satisfaction can still be gained in the midst of an ending.”

Hoy’s first album started out in a dilapidated chateau in France, where the trio took up a residency at the Performing Arts Forum in Saint Erme. The record began unwinding through slow days spent in giant light-filled ballrooms and pear orchards. Following on from the residency Hoy toured 21 shows throughout Europe and the UK.
