‘Under Your Skin’ by Dan Sultan has been shortlisted for the APRA song of the year alongside Boy & Bear, Nick Cave, & The Cat Empire. Pip Norman (aka Countbounce) appears as a co-writer alongside Dan Sultan himself and Sparkadia’s Alex Burnett. Running in the Rain single

Bobby Flynn’s new single Running in the Rain has a moody new video. This is a track we’re really proud of down here at Bounce County. Its a bit of a dreamteam, actually: sung by Bobby Flynn, written by Alex Burnett (Sparkadia), recorded and produced by yours truly, Mikey Iveson on drums, mixed by Tony Espie, mastered by David Walker.

Oh Mary!

In 2009 Sparkadia frontman Alex Burnett joined CB in Darwin for a working holiday (with coconut shake benefits). The sweat, beer, frogs and Papuan soccer tournaments conspired to produce some smash hits. The highlight of these sessions was a sweet little song called ‘Mary’.

The Count flavoured the demo with a severe Juno 106 bass sound and dirty gospel samples. Alex took the results to London to magic up an album with Mark Tieku (Florence And The Machine, CocknBullKid), who kept a lot of the tracking and ideas, earning Countbounce co-production credits.
